Punjabis dominate not only the usual business such as trucking in Canada today, but they are also making their mark in the five-star hospitality industry.
Jalandhar-born Kuldeep Sharma is one such new entrant into the the five-star hotel busines. He came to Canada just 16 years ago, but today owns the Crown Group of Hotels across Ontario. He says he has relied on his instincts in business.
Sharma, whose family originally comes from a village near Dasuya, was the founder of one of India’s top security service companies before he left India to try his luck in Canada in 2002.
